Led Zeppelin

A recent article in Rolling Stone magazine decreed Led Zeppelin as the heaviest rock band of all time. But even more interesting was this: the all time best selling shirt at the Hot Topic chain is a Led Zeppelin logo! And, over the last 4 years, 38% of Zeppelin's record sales have been to people under age 25. Whether you're an old, old fan or just discovering them, try these:

Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin II
Led Zeppelin IV
Physical Graffiti

For some newer heavy rock, try the debut from Australia's Wolfmother, who owe a lot of their sound to Zeppelin's influence.

The Virgin Music Festival

It's almost here! Are you going? The Virgin Music Festival is this weekend in Baltimore. There are going to be two performance stages and a DJ tent. Here is a list of some of the performers: Gnarls Barkley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wolfmother, The Who, and many more! If you can't make the festival, you can check out some of their music at the library. Which band would you want to see? I am not going, but I would like to see Gnarls Barkley.

Hurray for Bollywood

If you want flash and dancing and singing and probably a lot of drama as well as melodrama (and maybe even a few laughs), try any of HCPL’s Indian entertainment DVDs made in Bollywood, or more familiarly Mumbai (Bombay). Mostly Hindi-language based, these musicals tend to be full of elaborate sets, entwined plots, love interests, and lots of music. Check out of the DVD below:

Salaam Namaste -She is a disk jockey at a Melbourne radio station; he is a chef at a popular restaurant. She displays her Indian heritage; he hides his.The tensions are all there for a romantic comedy that holds some sorrow and joy as Ambar and Nick navigate their way through modern love.
