Slam Poetry at HCPL

Wikipedia states that Slam Poetry is a postmodern performance poetry, a form of spoken word performed at a competitive poetry event, called a "slam," at which poets perform their own poems (or, in rare cases, those of others) that are "judged" on a numeric scale by randomly picked members of the audience. Building on a hugely successful event back in 2006, the poets are gathering again on the third Saturday of each month at 2 pm, Bel Air Branch during the summer. We give this event a "10!"
