4 Million Circulations!

Well, it's official! The library has circulated over 4 Million books, magazines, CD's and movies since July 1, 2007 and we're celebrating today, Friday, May 30th at 11:30 a.m. with cake and punch at every HCPL branch. Please drop by and celebrate with us. While you're visiting, check out something new today ... you'll be helping us reach our next milestone.

My Next Good Book
The library has launched a new service called My Next Good Book. We are excited about this service as it allows for such a variety of ways to search or browse for titles of interest... by topic, by awards, by best seller lists, and best of all, you can see what your friends are reading if they participate in the service. You can also create your own "shelves" to keep track of favorites or books you are planning to read in the future. You can write your own reviews and read the reviews of your friends. Also, check out all the shelves that were created by our own librarians, including our Library Director, Audra Caplan! You can access this service from the Reader's Place. If you would like more information about My Next Good Book, contact our Reader's Place librarian, Elizabeth Pratt or ask about My Next Good Book at your local branch.Labels: booklists, books, My Next Good Book, readers advisory, what should i read next

If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact Vanessa Milio, HCPL Foundation Director at 410-273-5600. Last year, over 15,000 children and teens participated in the program. Sponsors receive logo placement, name recognition in all printed materials, press releases, and event activities. We celebrate our sponsors with a special Summer Reading Program kick-off event in early June. You can really make a difference.
