Health Insurance Marketplace information @ your library
What is the Health Insurance Marketplace?
New healthcare options are available to people over 18 who need health insurance to meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act.
You will need:
- Social Security Numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants).
- Employer and income information for every member of your household who needs coverage (pay stubs, W-2 forms)
- Policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household.
- A completed Employer coverage tool for every job-based plan you or someone in your household is eligible for.
Use this checklist to help you gather the information you will need to have on hand:
The National Committee for Quality Assurance is a private, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA's Health Plan Report Card compares the performance of NCQA-Accredited health plans across the country. Whether you are selecting a new health plan or want to learn more about a plan you are enrolled in, the Health Plan Report Card can help. http://reportcard.ncqa.org/plan/external/plansearch.aspx
