Gale Courses

Harford County Public Library offers a free Start your own Small Business Course through Gale Courses.

Click on the Business tab on the left to browse the business courses.—a premier online learning resource offering more than 4,000 courses covering technical skills, creative techniques, business strategies, and more—is now available FREE with your library card.

Search on “Starting a business”. You can choose to take just one course such as “or you a work through several related courses called “Playlists”. “Starting a Business” playlist appears at the top of your search. Click on it and hit the Subscribe to Playlist button.

Small Business Resource Center

The newly redesigned Small Business Resource Center is now easier to use. Here, you can find example business plans and articles and videos on all aspects of starting and operating a business

To get started, click on the “How to” tab and select How to start a small business. You may also want to search Startups from the Topics tab.
