Socktober
October 1 - 31
A countywide collection during October for new socks, hats, mittens, and gloves of all sizes, sponsored by Harford County Government, in partnership with Harford County Public Library. The donated items will be distributed to local individuals and families experiencing or on the brink of homelessness and to veteran organizations in the area.
Branch Holiday Donation Drives
November 1 - 30
Harford County Public Library is proud to support our community. This holiday season, all HCPL locations will be collecting donations for organizations located right in their neighborhood from November 1 - 30.
Aberdeen Bible Church Food Pantry
Items needed: canned vegetables, canned tuna, canned meats, soup, macaroni & cheese, crackers, sugar, shelf-stable milk, peanut butter, jelly, and oatmeal.
Grace Food Pantry
Hall’s Cross Roads Elementary School Clothing Pantry
Items needed: new coats in boys/girls sizes 18mo-XL with tags

Luna's House
Items needed: gift cards for Wegman’s, Giant, Harvest Fare, Grocery Outlet, Target, Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe’s, or PetSmart; clumping clay cat litter, Oxbow Pure Comfort, Carefresh, or equivalent paper pulp bedding; Yesterday’s News or Feline Pine litter; new (unused) pet bed or pet toys; Advantage/Advantix, Revolution, Bravecto, or CAPSTAR flea treatments; paper towels; trash bags; bleach; toilet paper; OdoBan, Pine-Sol, or Simple Green disinfectant; HE laundry detergent; gel air fresheners; and plain white vinegar
Mason Dixon Community Services
Items needed: cranberry sauce, canned or jar gravy, brownie or cake mix and frosting, boxed stuffing, applesauce, canned pumpkin, canned sweet potatoes or yams
SARC
Thanksgiving meal list – feeds a family of four. Please place the meal in a reusable bag or box for easy transportation. SARC cannot store perishable items. Thank you! Items needed: gift card for perishable items such as turkey/ham, pie, butter, etc. (suggested amount of $40 for a family of four) Preferred stores ShopRite, Food Lion, Weis, Walmart, or Aldi; 1 box of stuffing; 1 jar or packet of gravy; 1 box of instant potatoes; 2 cans of carrots; 2 cans of corn; 1 can of cream of mushroom soup; 1 packet of fried onions; 1 box of macaroni & cheese (prefer w/ squeezable cheese pouch); 1 box of roll mix or muffins mix (not fresh); 1 jar of applesauce; 1 bag of marshmallows; 1 boxed cake mix or other dessert mix (not fresh); 1 can of frosting
The Toiletry Closets at Joppatowne High and Magnolia Middle Schools
Items needed: toiletries – travel and full-size feminine products (pads and tampons), deodorant, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, bar soap/body wash, eco style hair gel, and edge control gel
