LEAP Music

The LEAP Music collection is an extension of the LEAP collection and is geared for children grades 1 and up. Research has shown that learning music and playing an instrument facilitates learning other subjects, and can improve a child’s understanding and learning of mathematical concepts.

Each kit contains a 12 inch superhero figure -- you can choose from Batman, Captain America, Falcon, Hulk, Iron Man, Superman, Thor, Wolverine, Armored Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-Man! - books featuring the superhero, and a journal to record a story about your adventures together.

Superhero Action Figure Kits Lending Program Facts:

• Kits can be checked out for one week
• Kits can be checked out using an adult or juvenile library card
• One Kit per card.
• Kits can be requested, but are not renewable.
• Kits can be checked out from, and returned to, any library branch in Harford County.
• There is a $2.00 a day late fee.

Jr Book Groups to Go

For children's book discussion groups with an adult moderator, or for adults who love to read children's literature! Ten copies of a selected title along with a book moderator's binder come together in a sturdy canvas bag! Available at the Bel Air, Edgewood, and Fallston Libraries or have it delivered to the branch of your choice. Jr. Book Groups to Go are available for a 60 day loan period.

Parent Teacher Collection (PTC)

Materials have been specfically selected for parents and teachers who work with children up to 8th grade. All branches have a Parent Teacher Collection.

Learning and Sharing Collection (LSC)

Developmental learning materials for young children and adults to enhance reading readiness skills; includes Cheers for Children, concept kits, and Young Parenting Kits. LSC Kits are at the Aberdeen, Abingdon, Bel Air, Edgewood, and Joppa branches, and are available to be requested by customers of any branch.
