due to anticipated inclement weather.
Modified Schedule: On Tuesday, January 7, all Harford County Public Library locations will open at 12 Noon
and close at 5:00 PM due to recent inclement weather.
System Upgrade: On Tuesday, January 14, the library will conduct a computer system upgrade. Access to public computers, library databases, e-resources, and account access will be unavailable during this time.
Holiday Closure: The library will be closed Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Tour of MD State Archives, Part 2

As a follow-up to last fall's virtual event, we invite you to take a deeper dive into locating more complex genealogical records at the Maryland State Archives.

Kasey Maes, an archivist with the Maryland State Archives, will walk you through accessing court, probate, land, and Legacy of Slavery records. We'll talk about what you can access online from home, and how to find the physical documents at the archives. Learn about what information you can expect to find from these various records, and how you can use them to enrich your family's history.
